Blah blah irie?

Does anybody really know what they say at the beginning of "Come on Eileen?" It's like, "ruh-ruh-eye-ree!" Those Dexy Midnight Runners sure had their own language. What about "Too-la-roo-la-roo-la-roo-la-ey?"

Am I showing my age? Or am I just listening to too much 1980s Internet radio? You be the judge.

Comments:
Well, first there is the fiddle playing.... what the hell is that song? "Turkey In The Straw"? And the drums, fiddle, guitar, bass, piano kick in. There is that piano scale thingy and the band picks up again except there is a freakin' banjo that's joined in...

And, yes, the thing they say at the beginning of "Come On Eileen" is "C'mon Eileen!". Duh!

The SECOND thing he sings is, "Poor, ole Johnny Ray/Sounded sad upon the radio/Moved a million hearts in mono"

Gaa!
